45th Annual Richardson ISD Council of PTAs Used Book Fair

Books open worlds, and our community helps make those worlds accessible to everyone.

The Richardson ISD Council of PTAs Used Book Fair brings together thousands of shoppers, volunteers, families, and book lovers to support educational opportunities throughout our community. Proceeds help fund scholarships for graduating seniors and RISD teachers pursuing continuing education.

TRADITIONAL SPONSORSHIP LEVELS

Platinum Event Sponsor | $250

Give your business or family name prominent visibility throughout the Used Book Fair.

• Your logo or family name displayed on the Sponsor Wall behind Entry Check-In, where event visitors will pass.

• Recognition as an event sponsor on the RISD Council website, RISD Council social media accounts, Council News, and Council Link.

Gold Sponsor | $100

Bookmark Sponsor | $400

Help spread the love of reading beyond the Used Book Fair! This sponsorship supports the printing and distribution of bookmarks to Richardson ISD elementary schools, giving young readers a fun reminder of the importance of books and literacy.

 

Sponsor recognition: Your business or family name will be featured on the bookmarks and on the main Sponsor Wall at the event.

Family Photo Booth Sponsor | $200

Help families make lasting memories at the Used Book Fair! Your sponsorship helps provide the backdrop, props, and display supplies needed for a fun, book-themed photo opportunity.

 

Sponsor recognition: Your business or family name will be displayed at the photo booth and on the main Sponsor Wall at the event.

Volunteer Appreciation Sponsor | $100

Our Used Book Fair depends on dedicated volunteers who give their time to make the event possible. This sponsorship helps provide snacks and beverages for the volunteers working throughout the fair.

 

Sponsor recognition: Your business or family name will be displayed in the volunteer area and on the main Sponsor Wall at the event.

Student Volunteer Sponsor | $100

Help us recognize the high school students who volunteer their time and energy at the Used Book Fair. Your sponsorship supports appreciation gifts and recognition for these student volunteers.

 

Sponsor recognition: Your business or family name will be displayed as part of the student volunteer appreciation area and on the main Sponsor Wall at the event.

RISD COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

In Memory of Dr. J.J. Pearce

Contributions of any amount are welcome.

Joseph Jones Pearce served as RISD superintendent from 1946 to 1977. His dedication to the education of Richardson youth continues through this memorial scholarship fund.

The RISD Council of PTAs Scholarship Committee reviews applications each spring for:

• Graduating senior scholarships for students attending four-year institutions.

• Teacher scholarships for RISD educators pursuing higher education or professional training through workshops and seminars.

Student scholarships are awarded based on academic record, character, extracurricular activities, and financial need.

Teacher scholarship applicants must have been employed by RISD for one full academic year before applying and must continue employment in the district the following year.

Donations to the scholarship fund help continue Dr. Pearce's legacy of supporting education in Richardson.
