RISD COUNCIL OF PTAS RECEIVES NATIONAL PTA GRANT FOR FAMILY ENGAGEMENT

It is a great honor for the RISD Council of PTAs-Inclusiveness to be one of eight PTA leaders in the country to receive a National PTA Grant for Family Engagement. As part of our presentation to National PTA, we proposed:

• Build and foster inclusivity and belonging in PTAs by providing training to all PTA leaders
• Celebrate Women's Month 2024 with the symposium "Women Leaders in STEM" that aims to show women how to lead authentically in STEM. 
• Create additional funds available to help underserved PTAs create inclusion programming to foster belonging and celebrate students. 

It is such an exciting time for us to work with National PTA Family Engagement and our own district's Family Engagement Team under the leadership of Angie Lee in our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Department. We are looking forward to the growth opportunities presented with direct mentoring from National PTA.
